N.E.mation! II finalists honoured at prestigious Phoenix Film Awards 2008! | 9 September 2008
N.E.mation! adds another feather to its cap! 'Nation Moulders', champion clip for N.E.mation! II, produced by the students from Jurong Junior College, has won the 'Most Outstanding Film for a Product or Cause by a Student' award at the Phoenix Film Awards 2008!
The Phoenix Awards 2008 is organised by AdAsia, the leading magazine for the advertising and marketing industry. It recognises creativity and professional skills in the production of commercial films, video and digital images and is a premier show in the Asian region. A panel of international experts from the creative industries serves as judges for the Awards.
We are thrilled that Team JJ AVAC has won the award. In addition, clip 'The Money Tree', done by Team Dee Colony from Crescent Girls' School and 'The Heartbeat of a Nation', done by Team RandomInk from Hwa Chong Institution, were both awarded Finalist Certificates for reaching the final judging round.

Extra! Extra! Top 10 Teams get additional bonus of free 3D animation training! | 3 September 2008
In addition to the chance to win a trip to USA to visit DreamWorks Animation, the 10 finalist teams will receive a fully-sponsored 3D animation workshop from DigiPen Institute of Technology - Singapore!
DigiPen Institute of Technology, based in Redmond, Washington, is a leading educational institution in game development and computer animation based in the USA. The DigiPen Institute of Technology - Singapore first opened its doors in Singapore on 4 July 2008 and is DigiPen's first international campus. Students from the Top 10 Teams will get to tap on DigiPen's vast animation expertise and enjoy a free one-week workshop on 3D animation, courtesy of DigiPen. This, in addition to the lessons on Stop-motion and Digital 2D animation techniques offered by Animagine, will allow the Top 10 Teams to cover the entire spectrum of animation techniques!
